Since the 2002 vintage, the Riverland Winegrape Growers Association (RWGA) has been funded via the Riverland Wine Industry Fund which operates under the provisions of the Primary Industries Funding Scheme Act 1998.
Contributions from Riverland winegrape growers for every tonne crushed in the Riverland is paid via the fund to the RWGA. Contributions from Riverland winemakers for every tonne crushed is paid via the fund to the Riverland Winemakers Association (RWA).
Together, these associations equally fund the Riverland Wine Industry Development Corporation (RWIDC).
The RWGA is also a prominent player in both the state and national winegrape grower bodies, with representation on both the Winegrape Growers Council of South Australia (WGCSA) and Wine Grape Growers Australia (WGGA).
